We are pleased to announce the second international conference dedicated to quantum science and technology "Quantum Days in Crete 2025", which is organised by the University of Crete and will take place at FORTH from 1 to 3 October 2025.
Taking place in the context of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), this year's meeting marks a century since the foundational breakthroughs that gave rise to quantum mechanics — an intellectual revolution that transformed our understanding of nature. Over the past century, quantum physics has reshaped the language of modern science and laid the groundwork for much of today's technology. As we stand on the brink of a second quantum revolution, with quantum computing, communication and sensing rapidly moving from theory to reality, our aim is to encourage discussion and cooperation across the various fields in which quantum concepts are applied.
Quantum Days in Crete 2025 will bring together researchers specialising in condensed matter physics, quantum information, quantum field theory and statistical physics. The meeting will focus on efforts to understand the collective behaviour of quantum many body systems, both in and out of equilibrium, with applications ranging from foundational questions to emerging technologies.
Topics include:
- Entanglement theory and experiments
- Quantum dynamics
- Integrability
- Quantum chaos
- Thermalisation
- Dynamics of quantum circuits
- Ultracold-atom experiments
- Quantum optics
- Numerical methods
- Quantum simulation platforms
