For ON-SITE payments ONLY CASH option is available.

Travel
The nearest airport is Heraklion International Airport and can be reached from Athens (several flights per day, duration: about 40min). In October there are still direct flights from many European cities.
AccommodationPlease book accommodation in the city of Heraklion. FORTH is on the outskirts of Heraklion, but the area close to it does not offer many options for accommodation or dining out, and it is not well served by public transport or easily accessible on foot. We recommend the following hotels in the centre:

Bus line 11 labelled "ΠΑΓΝΗ – ITE – FORTH" departs from Heraklion centre at 08:30 and arrives at FORTH at about 09:00, while bus line 11 labelled "ΠΑΓΝΗ – ΠΑΝΕΠIΣΤΗΜΙΟ" runs frequently and stops a 10 min walk from FORTH.
